Gymnastics Competition

I would like to say that this year has been very productive. All the students have jumped ahead leaps and bounds. They have progressed very well with all the progression skills. This was our first year for the X-Treme Team. We had 14 gymnasts on the Team and we walked away with 1 State Champion -- 6 year old Ryan Martin from Fort Dodge. Ryan also earned his way to Nationals in Madison Wisconsin on June 20 and became a National Champion. Go Ryan !! We had 7 out of 14 qualify to go to Nationals. Four went to the competition. Lexi Patton age 6 from Story City took 5th place, Desiree Castillo age 17 from Story City took 7th place, and Marijo Lee age 11 from Story City took 16th place. This was the first year for them to compete. I am very proud of all the hard work they have put in for their Team and for themselves.

For the up coming season we have 30 gymnasts from Fort Dodge and Story City signed up to compete next year. I hope to get our Team built up at the Ames South and Ames West locations for this up coming season.

We teach every gymnast to win 1st place with dignity and accept last place with pride. We want each gymnast to show good sportsmanship and always know that they are on top no matter what place they receive. Congratulations to all competitors and comfort to those who fall. I look forward to our next season. Team gymnasts can start as young as 3 and you are never too old to be on "Team". Class size is limited.
